
Gale won a modeling competition in Perth at 18, After many years of modeling, Gale rose to fame when she was commissioned in 1999 to be a part of a set of commercials for an Italian telecom company called Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy) and she was featured in the advertisement of the company up to 2006. The company also hired her to the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 to be their 'face of Australia within Italy'. Gale was featured on covers for Australian Marie Claire and Grazia. The actress has also been featured in Italian Maxim and Australian InStyle. Gale was featured on editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan, Vogue Italia and Italian GQ. Gale has done runway work during Milan Fashion Week for Mariella Marani and Angelo Marani as well as Gianfranco ferre, Genny & Gai Matiolo. Gale has also been a big fan of a variety of Australian fashion designers, including Colette Dinnigan Kirrily Johnston, Lisa Ho, Willow and Alex Perry. Since 2006 she was the fashion commentator for the Australian television awards, the Logies. Gale was let go of runway fashion at the beginning of January in 2008, having worked for 15 years. She walked her last catwalk in the David Jones Winter Collection Launch in Sydney just a few days later. The model wore the Wonder Woman costume she had planned to wear for The Justice League of America film in the process of developing. Gale was back on her runway on March 2011 and completed the Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival 2011. August of 2011 was Gale's 10-year anniversary at department stores David Jones, the longest run fashion contract in Australia. Gale was joined by Beyonce as well as Jennifer Lopez as an ambassador of L'Oreal Paris in the same month. Gale made an appearance in a L'Oreal shampoo commercial in Australia, New Zealand and Italy.
